So today was my first appointment with the MFM. It took 4 hours and by the time I was done I was so hungry! I first had an ultrasound to confirm my dates and everything is right on. Hb was 176 so that was good!
I did a 24 hour urine for a baseline and that came back at 460! The doc said that it was not a concern and glad to know what my baseline was. The creatin clearance came back fine. They want me to see my ob weekly for bp and protein checks. I will go back to the mfm at 18 weeks for my level 2 ultrasound. She also said that I will start to get weekly ultrasounds at 28 weeks to check the growth.

My bp today was 133/80 so down from the 143/94 last week. They did start me on labetolol 100mg bid. They also took 13 vials of blood! they are looking for all of the underlying blood disorders and my liver function levels. So we shall see what those tests say. Right now they are going to co-manage my pregnancy with my ob.

Oh, I am also in a study to check the protein z levels of pregnant women who had HELLP in a pregnancy so that is interesting.
I think that is all for now! So it went pretty well and I am happy to have someone watching me so closely!

I'm so glad it went well!

It is very comforting when you get extra care. It was kind of a pain for me to go to the doc every week for the past 8 months, but it was so reassuring. Especially my every two week ultrasounds.

Congrats again

Sounds good! I pack a lunch for my appointments, they have a checklist on the front of the folder for each visit and shuffle you along to each person. I never get out of thier before 1 or 2pm.
