So here's what's going on...
I am 27 weeks pregnant and the last few weeks or so I've started feeling menstrual-like cramping. When I stop what I am doing for a few minutes and bend forward the pain goes away, it has not lasted for more than a few minutes at a time. It's not excrutiating pain, but it still rather hurts. I don't get them frequently either, sometimes I'll get it twice in one day and then go 4 or 5 or more without any pain at all. I'm not really sure what to make of it since there are no other symptoms accompanying it (no bleeding, increase in discharge, chills, fever at all) and the baby is very active with kicking and movement (I've been monitoring my fetal kick counts and nothing has changed, if anything she's become more active in the last few weeks). I was wondering if anyone here could maybe help shed some light or give some advice on these mysterious pains. Maybe someone out there has experienced this?

Sounds like your round ligaments to me. Especially because of bending forwards kinda cures them.

Welcome to the high risk board. Round ligaments do not make you high risk you will be glad to hear but the are disconcerning. But usually all is well.

Besure and mention them to your doctor.

Round ligament or maybe Braxton Hicks Either way mention it to the doctor and see what he/she thinks but without other symptoms and that fact its here there I lean with Braxton Hicks, body preparing you for labor. I have had some that hurt like a SOB then some that dont hurt at all.

Good luck and glad baby is ok...

It is good to hear that these cramps don't make me high risk. I get so nervous sometimes. I'll mention them to my doctor when I have my appointment unless other symptoms start coming into play.
Thank you

Hi, i am having menstural like cramps on and off during this whole pregnancy. Especially during the time that my 'month' changes AKA were i would be expecting my normal period. Nothing has come out of it so far....the doc says it's normal. I would ask him though if i were you if only to put your mind at ease....As for eating i'd say small meals throughout the day so you don't get overly hungry. A lot of fruits, vegetables and as much walking as possible (IF your doc has also advised that you can do it with no problems)......Try to lay off sweets as much as possible.....

H&H 9 Months...>>!
