Yes you should let your doctor know tomorrow. I do not know how long it takes to work. One would think by the second dose.

I haven't noticed much of a difference. I have had two shots so far, my hip still hurts from yesterdays. The nurse was just mean about it and just jabbed it in there.

If you told your Dr I would love to know what he said.

Thanks, that's good to know. I am having several contractions a day and I was hoping the shots would calm my uterus down. I am really wondering if they are really going to help me get past 32 weeks. I am having serous doubts

Britty does your Dr have you on bedrest?

I am already on bed rest but I am not doing very well at it. With my kids around it's just impossible at times.

That's my exact feelings on the contractions, if I am still contracting then my cervix at some point will start making changes. With my last one they found that my cervix was starting to go at 29 weeks and I only made it to 32 even with bedrest and meds for the contractions. I just don't see how this shot is going to keep all that from happening. I will be thrilled if it does it's just hard to put my faith into something.

The shots do help some, they did me with my DD. I started them kind of late, but kept them up and did my last one at my 34 week visit. I started dialating and had her at 37 weeks.

Now this time around, I am not so sure as I am at a different OB (high risk) and they may not take it easy on me and give them in the arm. Plus, he wants to do a stitch in my cervix due to it being so short.
