Hi,

I have a question. I am 7 weeks along and I went in for my first U/S today. But you couldn't see a baby all you could see was the sac and yolk sac. My mid-wife said that the baby might be hugging my uterus wall. But I'm really worried and really scared. Has that happend to any of you before or anything?? They sent me in to have blood work done and again on Thursday and then another u/s next tuesday but I'm actually really scarred that maybe there isn't a baby in there and we would just be crushed because we want a child so bad.

Any helpful words or advice would be welcomed

Has this happend to anyone and there was a baby in there

Could you possibly be a little earlier than 7 weeks? It's not uncommon not to see the embryo on a very early US. Try to relax, you should be able to see the little bean on your next US. I hope that all goes well.

OMG, this JUST happened to me on Jan 11. That was all the tech could see as well was the sack and yolk sack. I had a beta that day as well. The next week, another beta and in a few more days another ultrasound. By the 17th of January, they found cardiac activity. Seems dates are real hard to determine this early on with no fetal pole. Hang in there girl, dont let them stress hormones get the best of you, k?

I know its crazy, its crazier that two of us have gone through this in a month. can you believe it?

What kind of u/s did they perform on you?

I went to the ER when I was 7 1/2 wks pregnant because of spotting. The dr's in the er could not see a heartbeat when they did a normal u/s. It wasn't until they did a vaginal u/s when they saw a little heartbeat.
