My sister in law is 10 weeks pregnant, at least that's what the family doc told us.

Today she experienced some spotting, and was referred to the hospital for a scan.

Following the scan, she was told that either she is in fact 6 weeks pregnant, or her baby has stopped growing.

Can anyone please tell me you've ever heard of this? Or if it's happened to you?
We're all worried sick and won't find out for two weeks what's happening.
I don't know how to help her or comfort her at all.

Ps. I'm really very sorry if I posted this in the wrong place.

When was her last period? And did the scan show a heart beat?

I'm not sure when her last period was. And no there was no heartbeat. They said it might just be too early to hear the heartbeat though.

Unfortunately, it's probably a waiting game. I wish your family the best.
