I got Wed to the MFM doc....I eas refered bc with my first I dialated to 2 at 28 weeks and had preterm contractions...I luckily kept in him to full term with the help of meds....My second I fell and had a partial and then dialated to 5.5 at 34w5d so they delivered her at 35 weeks.....After discussing my history with my reg OB and bc I have already had pretty painful contractions he's sending me to get a baseline on my cervix and consult with the MFM....
What should I expect for my first appointment? With my dd I just started going bc of all the issues after the fall....So I have never had to go when nothing was wrong yet.....Any advice I would apprecitate TIA
Generally speaking, if you are high risk you will have extra visits and more prenatal testing, and maybe a more extensive family history done. I've never not been high risk, so I'm not 100% sure what a non-high risk appointment is like, but many of the ladies here do and can give you a more specific answer.
