I'm over here from Feb. DDC. I am kind of considered high risk because of a full term loss, but my question isn't really about that though. I'll be 21 weeks on Wed. and I've been having BH for a while. Sometimes they are pretty uncomfortable/painful. Back around 16 weeks I had a little bleeding and I checked my cervix. (I did go to see my dr. about the bleeding) That's the only time until today that I've checked it. So, 5 weeks ago my cervix was really soft and slightly open. Today it was even softer and seemed to be even more open than last time. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? Have any of you had your cervix checked at this point and what did the dr. say? I see my dr. on Thursday but would appriciate any input that you ladies might have.
Yeah, I'm hoping it's just normal. I did have a vaginal delivery when we lost our little girl so I know you can be more open. It just seems like it has changed. If I had to give a # I would say that last time it was 1cm and now it's 2. I have a regular check up on Thurs and will definitely ask about it and see if he'll check and make sure.
I am seeing a perinatologist once a week now in addition to my OB (twice a week). Each perinatologist visit, I do get my cervix checked. I would say go ahead and ask your doc to check yours, always to be on the safe side.
Good luck to you!
Thank you to Jaidynsmum for my beautiful siggie!
