Sorry for the random questions. I promise there's a reason for it. Anyways. Today is my first official day of bedrest for high blood pressure and I've been laying around all day and my pressures are fine. They're not in that high range for which I was PUT on bedrest.

Does this not mean that I don't have blood pressure problems and this crap is not necessary? I mean, if I had PIH then my pressures would stay high regardless, yes? I'm starting to think my dr is overreacting for nothing.

It sounds more like the bedrest is working. PIH can definitely respond well to treatment measures.

yeah definitely agree with Rebecca. I was put on bedrest for ds1 at 33 wks. My bp was fine laying around and my dad tried to use it as an excuse for me to be out watering his garden ..."you're bp's are fine you can do SOMETHING around here...".....um...not quite. Give yourself a few days and if you are getting frustrated call your doc, maybe you can do modified rest.

I see... the last time I got PIH my pressures never went down, kwim? I was on bedrest for one week (from the time they discovered it until they induced me) and even laying around doing nothing my readings were high. That's why I was thinking this may just be a lot of hype for nothing and a waste of time.

Kathryn, water the garden how friendly. *sarcasm*
