Sorrry guys, heres another yeast infection question..

Have you guys used Diflucan during this pregnancy or other pregnancies?

My doctor's office would let me, and its actually what the nurse suggested at first. It IS class C, but my doctor is pretty leniant about prescribing class C drugs, as long as theyre not used alot.. I requested vaginal cream, because its known to be safer (and im sick of taking meds during this pregnancy) But, they don't want me to take the kind of yeast cream I usually use (clotrimazole) I am allergic to Monistat, and I had a REALLY bad reaction a week ago to clindamycin antibiotic vaginal cream (which also is what gave me this yeast infection)

I am so nervous to try this new cream they gave me, that I'm starting to wonder if it wouldn't be easier to use the Diflucan and get this over with WITHOUT fear of extreme cramping/burning/etc from a bad reaction.

I have not taken Diflucan, but I take a handful of Category C drugs that my doctors have judged safe. If your doctor says it's safe, I would trust him.

I agree with Rebecca.

I have taken it twice this pregnancy and have not had any issues with it. My YI went away very quick both times, actually faster then they ever went away with anything else I have taken.

Good luck!
