I am so irritated.
Today is day 3 of contractions. At least today they are sporadic and not every 10 minutes like they have been.

But today I started having pressure in my cervix.

I called my doctors office again. I have talked to them every day now. The partner said to continue to stay hydrated and stay off my feet. And I am fine if I am not bleeding or leaking fluid.

Ok really?

I know they say the baby isn't viable until 24 weeks. And if I were to go into labor they wouldn't stop it before then. OK but why let it get to that point? Why not stop the contractions before it gets to that point?!

So I am going in Monday to have my cervix checked.
I am so frustrated.

gawd Amee, you can't catch a break can you? I am sorry that you're going through this, and that your doctor doesn't seem to be concerned... Is there any chance you can go to your local ER? It's easy for a dr to say something over the phone, but if you're in person, they can properly check it out, and it might not be so easy for them to blow you off?

I've been hemming and hawing about going into the ER. I don't really want them to go and then send me home for being ridiculous. Or I go in and don't have any while I am there. KWIM?
And the ER staff always makes cracks about me being there all the time.
With my history of pulmonary embolism every time my heart started to race and I couldn't breathe I had to go in. And then the 2 times I was there for puking and one of those times I was spotting.

Healthcare sucks..

I would go to the ER for sure - that's my strategy when I get freaked out by a high risk symptom. They are really nice about it considering that half the time my symptom turns out to be nothing serious at all.

I am home.
Thank you Em for keeping everyone updated.
They DID NOTHING!

Yes I got an u/s where Harleigh looks fantastic and measuring right on schedule and weighs 8 oz.
The doc or u/s tech never checked my cervix. And then 10 minutes after the u/s they sent me home. Didn't say anything but no pushing or lifting and pelvic rest.

Wow way to waste 3 1/2 hours of my time.

After the nurse left the room and I had my discharge papers I started bawling my eyes out like no bodies business.

Do something to make the contractions stop! And they are still coming. Every 20 minutes now.

Can you go to a different ER and ask for terbutaline?

Im so sorry you are going through this!

I would keep pushing for them to do somoething! When you see your Dr on Monday tell them you want your cervix checked and keep fighting for it until you get it!

I agree with Rebecca also....Ask for Terb. or anything to stop those contractions!

I will be keeping you in my thoughts. Keep us posted.

Thanks girls.
I have thought about going to another ER and the only other ones in the area are absolutely horrible.

I'm gonna hold off till monday and see what happens.

Just promise that if things start getting worse again (ie the contrax are closer) that you will go to the ER again - and DEMAND to be checked out thoroughly... I don't care if you're not 24 weeks yet - that's no reason to just dismiss what you're going through.

I promise Emma!

So far only 2 contrax today and they weren't really bad. I think all my hydration caught up with me or something. Or harleigh just was causing a commotion to have her picture taken

I have decided to cancel my appt on Monday because its with the parter of my primary OB and he is a really douche-nozzle. I will try and get in to see my primary this week, but if not I see the high risk doc on thursday and my OB next wednesday.
