UGH! I hate having IC

So I had the surgery several weeks ago, and I'm finally starting to feel normal. My docs are making me wait almost 4 weeks before a followup... ***?! Doesn't sound very high-risk to me Anyways....

The past few days I was freaking out b/c I saw a touch of discharge. Normally not alarming. But this was clear. Just like amniotic fluid - I swear I nearly lost my mind. It was like re-living my son all over again...

Everything kind of came to a head yeaterday while I was at work . I became hysterical and CONVINCED myself that I was leaking amniotic fluid. I called my doc, and the soonet they could see me was this morning. I called my dad who is an ER nurse and he tried to calm me down. Mom is out of town, which sucks. I called Matt, my BF, and he tried to calm me down. But Icouldnt relax. I had all but onvinced myself that history would repeat, and this baby would die. So I went home. I contemplated going to the ER anyways, but they aren't OB specialists, so that wouldn't have done much good. Instead, I lay in bed all afternoon and evening, waiting for my appointment...

So I was up at 530am - couldn't sleep. I got to the doc at 830 and dad was waiting for me. I was a bit more calm and rational by then, and had convinced myself that I was overreacting, but I wanted to be 100% sure. So they did 3 tests. 1 for amniotic fluid - NEGATIVE. The other 2 were for bacteria that cause infection... both NEGATIVE My cervix looks good, the stitch looks good, everything looks GOOD!

I can't tell you how RELIEVED I am! I feel like a whole new person, like my confidence has been restored. I also got to hear the h/b today again, which they found with little effort, BTW.

I guess I just wanted to share. If I have been distant or my behavior a tad 'off' the past 3 weeks or so, I humbly apologize... it's just this insane amount of worry I've had since the surgery on 4/13. I don't want to completely let my guard down, but bit by bit I am feeling very good about the outcome of this pregnancy.

Hey sweetie, sorry to hear what you've been going throught but glad to hear everything is ok. I know you've probably already heard that you'll worry less the farther along you get but take it from somebody thats there first hand, it will get easier.
