Mom to 4 beautiful kids! 3 on Earth and 1 in heaven. Our little girl, Matilda Hope had Down Syndrome. She was born with TMD, a disease that is like leukemia. She fought that and beat it. Then, she had liver failure. She beat that, too. On October 17, 2014 she had NEC, necrotizing enterocolitis. My baby went to Heaven on October 19, 2014. She lived exactly one month.
#1 it was me, my mom, my sister, my brother
#2 This was crazy. It was me, DH, Mom, MIL, Sister, nephew, SIL1, DH's aunt and her DD. SIL2 shows up with BIL and their two boys. SIL1 was losing control, it was push time and she needed to get out, so she grabbed BIL and the boys and left the room. Too much going on in there, honestly.
#3 My best friend was with me, and exDH showed up with DD. My friend took DD for a walk and exDH sat with me while I pushed.
this time, I don't want any organized thing. I'm going to be comfortable, so if someone's shadow is in my way, they have to leave. If you don't have good reason to be there, get out. If you can stay out of my way and keep your mouth shut, and don't mind what you may see, stay. I don't care who is there, as long as they aren't disrupting me. But I think I want this to be pretty intimate between DH and I. If we do let anyone in, it would be our mothers.
Me, DH, and the medical team. I'm toying with the idea of a doula (I have a good friend who is one), but I'd kind of like to keep the people in the room to a minimum. When Jim was born, it was like a freaking parade in there--2 docs and 2 nurses for me, and a whole slew of people from the NICU.
