I was high risk with my first pg due to my age (17) and my families medical history (sister has spina bifida and LQTS in the family). Also because they were worried about me having a big baby since my mom had had 2 10 lb babies.
This time, I was told i'm high risk because of the medical problems in my family (mostly the LQTS and the new discovery of Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) as well as the fact that my son was born 6 weeks early. They are still concerned i'll have a big baby since, at 6 weeks early, he weighed 6lbs 2-3/4 oz. But their biggest concerns are the heart diseases that are genetic in my family.
