I'm 38 weeks and i have been on insulin since about 20 weeks. I'm up to 16 units of Humilin and 16 Lantis morning, 6 humilin lunch and 14 humilin and m12 lantis dinner. Usually my sugar levels are in normal range 4 days a week and on th higher side the other days. Like fasting 103 qnd 2 hour 140. Well the last week or so my numbers have been 70-80 fasting and 120-130 2 hour. Yesterday I woke with my sugar low. 52 which hasnt happened since before i was 20 weeks. I ate a cupcake and 2 glasses of milk to get it up, then peanut butter on wheat but my 1 and 2 hour never got above 110. So i jus watched my numbers and didnt take any insulin. They ran 70-80 fasting and 110 - 120 all day with no insulin at all. Has this happend to anyojne else? Or do u know what would cause this? I've called my Dr this morning (my fasting was 70 no insulin at all yesterday or today) but i prolly wont get a call back till this afternoon.
Thanks for any help!

I know I am late writing this and from the post you probably have already had your baby...I had diabetes in my last 2 pregnancies, and I measure my sugar levels in Mmol`s but as you come to the end of your pregnancy your placenta is starting to not produce as much sugar or deteriorate like the Dr. had explained to me, so it is normal for your levels to go down. They had forgot to tell me that if the numbers go down, to decrease my u=insulin by 2 units..
