Hello all! I'm Jessica from the April 2012 DDC. I am high risk as I had a loss at 18 weeks in February due to most likely IC. I have a cerclage and unfortunately I also have a partial placenta previa. My cervix has been stable at about 31mm until Friday when it started funneling and shortened to the stitch. I am now on bedrest and was prescribed indocin to stop the mini-contrax I was having.

My questions are to other bedrest ladies:

Do you wear compression stockings for preventing blood clots? I just got a pair of TEDs and recently put them on. They are not too tight on me and I sort of feel like they are unnecessary but I'm keeping them on.

Does anyone know if we're allowed to wear ankle bracelets with them on? I have a cloth one that I got on my honeymoon and havent taken off yet. Wondering if I should cut it off but I REALLY want to keep it on.

Thanks ladies and I hope to get to know you all better as I have lots more time on my hands due to bedrest.

Welcome! I didn't end up on bed rest, so I don't have suggestions for you, but hopefully some of the other moms will chime in. Just wanted to say I hope you are able to keep that one cooking as long as possible!

I was on bedrest a lot during my pregnancy but I never used any compression stockings or anything. I hope you can find someone who's more help!

I was advised to use them when I was on bed rest. I have a clotting disorder though and a history of blood clots. I would not think that wearing them with an anklet would be an issue, as long as it is comfortable.

I was on bedrest from 24 weeks until I delivered at 35 weeks. I never wore compression stockings. I wouldn't think the anklet would be a problem unless it is too tight.
