When did you stop using Levonex before your birth, and were you switched to a different med (needle)?

As you got bigger, and it got harder to grab a love handle on the side...where else did you do your injections?

How far along did you go when the baby was delivered?

Did you have to continue blood thinner injections post delivery? or was it just during pregnancy?

I'm just starting on this and am so glad you posted this. I was told that I will do the injections until delivery, she didn't tell me how far before I will stop, but we are inducing 1 week early, so I'm sure she will give me a time to stop then. I was then told I would switch to cumadin (warfaren) for 6 weeks after the baby is born and then go to 1 baby aspirin a day to keep the blood clotting at bay.

Hopefully someone else might have some more information for us.

As you got bigger, and it got harder to grab a love handle on the side...where else did you do your injections? No, it didn't get harder for me but, that's because I've got plenty to grab I only inject in my abdomen.

How far along did you go when the baby was delivered? With my first dd, I was induced at 38 weeks 5 days. With my second dd, I went into labor at 37 weeks 3 days.

Did you have to continue blood thinner injections post delivery? or was it just during pregnancy? Yes. After delivery, I switched back to lovenox for 6 weeks and then back on coumadin.

I was switched to Heparin at 37 weeks and was told to not do my evening injection the night before my induction. I was on 2 shots a day.

As you got bigger, and it got harder to grab a love handle on the side...where else did you do your injections?
I only ever did my injections in my stomach. I have a lot extra there so it was never an issue. My doc told me that you can do them lots of places. I remember him mentioning thighs.

How far along did you go when the baby was delivered?
With my first it was 37 weeks (due to pre-e). My second was delivered at 39w1d. I was induced at 39 weeks.

I did Lovenox 6 weeks pp with my daughter and then went back on my Coumadin. This time I am almost 8 weeks pp and still on Lovenox, but going back onto my Coumadin next week. I have a history of clotting though and will always be on a blood thinner.
