Hi my name is Amanda (30) and DH is Michael (29). Quick history, we started TTC in 2006 after we got married. We were unable to conceive until almost 3 years later and while on Clomid and progesterone. I miscarried at 12 weeks and had a D & C. got pregnant again on clomid and progesterone....and again miscarried at 8 weeks. Finally got pregnant on Clomid and progesterone and had our DD in may 2010, after 12 weeks of bed rest, 6 of which was in the hospital bleeding from complete placenta previa. We have been TTC again since last april with one other miscarriage. After going to the RE we found out that I have two of the MTHFR gene mutations. WE tried this last cycle on clomid, estrogen (for thin lining), folguard, and HCG shot. After O'd they immediately started me on lovenox, and progesterone.
Currently we are 5.4 weeks pregnant. My RE has already said that with my beta's he is almost sure that there are "at least two in there". We find out friday at our first sono. I've had 4 betas because of RPL. I've been sick since 8 DPO. I'm nervous about how many are in there but we have a strong support system and we've been through baby bootcamp with my DD who has multiple health issues. I look forward to getting to know you all and for the support through this pregnancy. Oh and I need prayers that we do NOT repeat the placenta previa!!!
Welcome and congratulations. I am sorry for your losses. I'm on lovenox right now, too, for factor V leiden. I was on it for my both my dd pregnancies. Good luck and I hope that placenta stays up and away where it belongs!
Welcome, and congrats on your pregnancy!!! We have quite a few moms on Lovenox around here, so you're in good company. Fingers crossed that this pregnancy goes as smoothly as possible! Are you hoping they're right about it being multiples in there?
Thank y'all for the welcome. Um I'm not really sure how I feel about there being more than 1 baby. I do know that nothing is impossible to learn to deal with. Ideally I'd like just one healthy baby, but we could handle twins, anything more than that and I'll will totally flip out!!! I'm just really anxious to get to friday and make sure that there is a healthy heartbeat(s). Not that I couldn't still miscarry eventually but it's just that second milestone that we want to hit. The first was having good beta's!!!
Seattilite- I'm a NICU nurse I love all the pics in your siggies of the premies!
Congrats on your pregnancy! I was on Lovenox during both of my pregnancies for the same reason as Amy. I hope that you have a happy, healthy and uneventful pregnancy! Your daughter is so cute!
