I'm high risk because of 2 previous m/c's. One was an early m/c, the second was at 16 weeks for unknown causes. I'm now bleeding again and praying that I won't lose this one too...

I'm 35 weeks pregnant, and considered high risk due to IUGR. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow for another growth study ultrasound. If she didn't grow much, I will be getting induced very soon.[/b]

When I was pregnant with my son, I was high risk. First because at six weeks pregnant, I started bleeding. Then, at 15 weeks pregnant, I was told my son might have downs syndrome because if the triple screen. Then, at around 32-34 weeks, I went into preterm labor.. they had to keep me on magnesium for two days and give me steriods to mature his lungs. I was never put on bedrest, though. I did get alot of ultrasounds, though. I must have gotten like 12 of them(pics) and around 16 u/s dates because they wanted to check for any signs of ds. Which, he doesnt have. I gave birth to a healthy, chunky baby at 37 weeks. =)

My NP told me that when I get pregnant(now) I will be high risk because of my HBP and age(35). Don't know any other complications yet as this is my first pregnancy...but I was a preemie at 28 weeks. I'm sure that will come into play somewhere.

Hello! Well, my pregnancy has been one for the books from the get go!! I was told 3 times that I was miscarrying and would not even be having a baby!! Then, I had placenta previa and a subchorionic hemorrhage. Things are finally getting better now. But I was on bedrest for 20 weeks and now I am still warned to take it easy. I have had some kidney problems as well. All in all, it has been really rough. I also found out that there is a 1 in 136 chance my baby could have Downs. The ultrasound did not show any markers which is good, but there is still a chance. So I am taking it day by day and I just cannot wait to have my little bundle of joy.

i was hoping to see someone with my same issues, but seeing as there isn't the best survival rate I can see why there isn't. While pregnant with twins, I was diagnosed with Pre-eclamsia (sp) and anemia, chronic low blood pressure and fainting spells. After Birth they realized that I was in Preganancy Induced Heart Failure due to the 100 lbs of water I was carrying because of the Pre-eclampsia. I am almost perfect now besides the leaky valves.

I have complete placenta previa. In other words, my placenta is totally covering the cervix and blocking the baby's way out. Major bleeding and preterm labor are the dangers of previa and I will have to deliver early by c-section. But so far I've had no bleeding and no hospital stays so I feel very blessed![/b]
Hey,

I am just newly pregnant - 10 weeks - with my 4th, but with my 3rd I had placenta previa. I first had bleeding at about 22 weeks, and I didn't find out what I actually had until 28 weeks. (I wasn't very happy with my doctor, needless to say). It was partial then, and then the placenta moved down to be complete. I was unfortunate in that I had to be on bedrest in the hospital for 7 weeks, and then I had my DS by c-section 4 weeks early. He has a few respiratory issues, he has asthma, and he had RSV when he was little, but fortunately he didn't have to stay in the NICU when he was born.

I hope all will go well with your pregnancy! If you have any questions or just want to vent, I've been through that and maybe I can help or just listen. Good luck!

I am high risk because I have MTHFR and have had 3 m/c's.

I have to give myself a shot of Lovenox two times a day, plus take large amoungs of folic acid, B-6, B-12, and a baby aspirin every day.

I am high risk because i have chronic placental abruption and have been put on strict bedrest. They are going to do steroids at 24 weeks in case i got into preterm labor so that baby has a good fighting chance. I also have gd and had a cerclage placed at 15 weeks due to an incompetent cervix.

I was recently diagnosed with placenta previa. I'm 19wks pregnant and never had any bleeding thus far. I'm a little scared and if anyone has any advice I would love to talk to someone. My doctor said I have nothing to worry about right now because she seems to think it will move upwards, which I am desparately hoping as well. I am considered high risk because of this.
