So, I'm not pregnant right now, but we are planning on TTC in the near future. I currently have a "complex" cyst on my ovary and we are waiting to see what happens with that. I also have PCOS, and although most people have way more trouble than I do with it, we did try 15 months for our first child.
Anyways, I had to be induced around 35 weeks with my daughter due to IGR. When she was delivered, we discovered that I had placenta accreta. Luckily it was a mild case of it, and I didn't have to have any transfusions or surgeries! I had to stay 4 days to get my platelet count back up, but that was nothing compared to some of the outcomes I have read about.
My question is if anyone has had placenta accreta before and went on to have a healthy pregnancy after.... I've been researching it some and it doesn't seem to be super likely to recur , but it's also not too common anyhow. I don't even know how it happened to me, as it mostly happens to women who have had a d&c or c-section in the past. It completely floored my doctor!
