Hi all. This is my first post here. I've had two mc's in the last 8 months and I'm currently pregnant again at 6w6d per my ultrasound on Thursday. I thought i would have been 7 weeks that day but only measured 6w3d but had a heart beat of 177. Last pregnancy had no hb and my first one the hcg levels stopped at 3,600 but had two u/s with two weaker heart beats. Anyone go on to have a successful pregnancy with a slow growing fetus but with a strong heart beat?
update - today's u/s at 8w1d showed no hb or growth from last u/s 12 days ago. d&c scheduled for thursday. goodluck ladies and thanks for the well wishes.

Hi! Congrats on the baby! My pregnancy started out as twins and both were slow growing but baby a had a great hr and baby b was under 100. Baby b eventually died but baby a caught up and is doing great. I would be optamistic! I was told to focus more on the heart rate and less on the growth. An ultrasound is not 100% accurate and can be a few days off. I will keep you in my prayers. Please keep us updated.
sounds like me without the miscarriage -- My beta levels NEVER doubled but when she could do an ultrasound we had a very strong heartbeat -- then within a few weeks and many ultrasounds we are actually ahead of what we expect for growth -- possible may change due date -- I battled with this from 4w1d and I will be 12 weeks tomorrow -- please have faith and love that beautiful baby -- it's all in gods hands and I have read success stories -- will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Best of Luck
I am with Dee! That is a very strong heartrate! I have had losses where the heartrate was just too low and arythmic, and it just didn't last. 177 is a GOOD hr though! Beans all grow at different rates, I've seen it through multiple pregnancies and losses, focus on that hr. Congrats!! Wishing you a Happy and Healthy 9 months!!!
