I was diagnosed this week with have a posterior complete placenta previa. I've been reading tons of posts online about posterior cpp vs anterior cpp and it seems that posterior you have less chance of moving. I have stage 4 previa..the edge of the placenta is covering the center of the cervix. The first doctor who saw this said my chances are low that it will move...my normal OB gave me a little hope..but not a whole lot. I've also had a c section with my daughter and I guess that combined with the posterior position makes my chances even lower..
I'm currently on pelvic rest and have been told to take it pretty easy until my next scan in 4 weeks. I've been told if it doesnt move it could lead to bleeding, bed rest..hospital stays..possibly a very early c section.. as early as 33 weeks. The placenta needs to move 2cm away from the edge of my cervix to be considered safe for me to VBAC.
I'm looking for anyone who has had CPP to share their stories with me.
