So I found out 2 weeks ago that I am pregnant!(5wks on June 24/14) Yay But, heres where I get confused and am just wondering if anyone has ever been in the similar situation.
I'll give you a bit of background (sorry if its long )
I was diagnosed with PCOS at 16 (had a lot of abnormal hair-growth and would only see a period or two a year if I was lucky) I was also diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes (after taking metformin for both issues, losing almost 100lbs and using birth control I got my cycles regulated.
I got pregnant in 2008 for the first time and I chose to terminate the pregnancy ( had very sore breasts, sick all the time, ect.)
The second time I got pregnant was in 2010 and it sadly ended in a miscarriage at 11wks5d.
The third pregnancy I had was in April of 2013 and again it ended in a miscarriage at 5wks3d (or so thats what we think, I had a normal period and about a week after my period was done I started spotting so I took a home test and it came back positive, had confirmed at dr's)
The fourth pregnancy was in June of 2013 and again, miscarriage but with this one my HcG levels only ever hit 20, shouldn't of even really registered on a home test.
Since I have had 3 m/c's my doctor sent me for blood work on day 3 of my cycle and the results all came back very very low (in my doctors words) and my cervix has been slightly dialted for like the past 6 or 7 months (I personally don't think its dialted I think its scarring from my termination as I was in and out of the hospital with my second pregnancy and the doctors thought it was open but proved it was just scarring and I continued to carry that baby for about 4 or 5 weeks after that.)
They finally referred me to a fertility specialist to figure out whats going on and the funny thing is they called to make an appointment the day after I found out I was pregnant.
With this pregnancy I have had NO spotting which to me means the world, as every other pregnancy I have had I have spotted/bled. Also my first home test came back very positive 4 or 5 days BEFORE my missed period.
I'm just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and continued to carry to term, I go for my first ultrasound at 7weeks on July 7th so any advice would help!

Hi there! I also have Pcos. I have never had a termination but we have had 3 losses and chemical losses including last month. I had one successful pregnancy, our littlw boy was born at 32 weeks in February 2014. What I believe made all the difference in the world was taking progesterone suppositories. I took them 4ish days after ovulating until 12 weeks. I wish you the best of luck on this pregnancy. May you have a happy and healthy outcome
