When should you worry about contractions. I have been having several contractions a day. I have had as many as three in an hour but for the most part it is just a few throughout the day. But I am starting to have them every day. They are definitely contractions. They last maybe fifteen to twenty seconds are not very painful but enough to where I usually have to sit down for a second. I am going to see my doctor tomorrow so I will talk to him about this. I am just overly paranoid with this pregnancy and every little thing is worrying me. For moms that have had preemies when did you start having contractions and do you think having BH is something to be concerned about. I am not having them frequently enough to be too stressed but at the same time I am not very far along and a little concerned about having them this early. This is my fourth baby so maybe that is why.

hi hon.. I too have them everyday for mos now. a contraction vs bh.

A contraction lasts more than 45 sec. You should start to worry if you have more than 5 or 6 in an hour. Also, if you do .. drink water and lay down.. if you are still having them you need to call your ob immediately.

Also look for
spotting
cramping
lower back pain
and just not feeling like something is right.

And again.. drink drink drink that water
