Hi. I am 9 weeks and 4 days along. At first the Dr. was saying that I was measuring to big, but after the Ultrasound we found out that I have a 4inch cyst on one ovary. The baby was fine...right on target with the calculations, but the dr said she wanted to remove the cyst when I am about 18 to 20 weeks. Has anyone else had surgery while pregnant?

Did the doc mention the possiblity of the cyst getting smaller and not having to be removed. I know a lot of women with PCOS get cysts while pregnant but they can get smalelr and not need to be removed. No experience with surgery while being pregnant though.

No all she talks about is surgery. I am going to another doc today. The paranatologist, the back to the OB tomorrow morning. All I know right now that my only concern is keeping this baby. They labeled me high risk because my first two were early, but that was 12 years ago, and now this cyst. At first she scared me saying that my cervic was too small, and that I probably would not be able to keep this baby. Maybe I should look into finding another doc. Oh, the ultrasound showed that my cervix was not too small.
