So I guess I probably will start posting here now.....

I went to the doctor on Tuesday and he said that my placenta was a little aged more than it should be. Also he said that the abdomen of the baby is measuring about 2 weeks behind the rest of the baby. I went Thursday for a lefel 2 ultrasound and it is confirmed that there is calcium build up that shouldn't be there and also that the blood flow is 3.2 through the cord when it should be 2 or less. So now I have to go back for weekly ultrasounds. Hoping that things stay as they are and don't continue to get any worse.

Has anyone else ever had anything like this? What was the outcome?

I had blockage in both of the umbilcal arteries. My son's chest was measuring about 4-5 weeks behind his head.

I was put in the hospital for a month on bedrest when I was 7 1/2 months. He just wasn't moving at all, and the blockage was almost 100 percent in both arteries. I was getting ultrasounds every other day then.

My son was born healthy, and 2 days late He was 6 lbs 3 ozs. I worried so much about his umbilcal cord. They tested it after he was born to see if they could find out what caused it. The test results came back inconclusive.

Good luck. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Hi there.

I had a grade 3 placenta from about 26 weeks on (when they caught it) However, they never told me. What made me highrisk was a shortening cervix and PTL. Anyways, what came out of that gr.3 placenta, was a healthy, happy 7lb 12oz baby born 2 days shy of her due date. I hope things are okay with your baby, but I was told this is actually something that happens a lot. Goodluck hun and Take care. Pregnancy is scary sometimes, but remmeber that sometimes ppl make mistakes as well as U/S machines. I had an U/S that measured my cervix within a week of eachother.. One time measuring 1.5cm and the other time 2.4cm...Goodluck!
