My SIL called me and said that her OB's nurse called and said she has to go in for a level 2 ultrasound because there is a band around her amniotic sac restricting growth. I know nothing about this and can't find any info. The nurse wasn't very informative either. Have any of you even heard of this? Anything would be helpful.

Ok I got more information from the doctor. She had amniotic band syndrome which has nothing to do with a band around the sac. Her amnion sac has ruptured causing bands of tissue to be floating with baby. From what I have read this is not a good thing. If anyone has experience with this any insight would be helpful.
