After the u/s with at the RE's office (baby measured 6 weeks 3 days) but did not get a heartbeat or could even see a yolk sac, I got sent to the hospital.
The technician this time at least let me see the baby. He/she was not attached to the yolk sac and was not as clearly defined (according to dh) as last Wednesday at the hospital.
The radiologist's message to the RE's office was: "clearly defined yolk sac and fetus present, non-viable interuterine pg."
I am scheduled for a dnc tomorrow and they will be doing chromosonal testing, so I will find out what the baby's sex was and hopefully the cause of death.
But dh and the nurse did probably see the beginnings of a heartbeat a couple of weeks ago, just died a few days later.
I've decided that unless they can give us a reason and a treatment for it (that is feasible), we are not trying for another. Its just too hard to keep through this.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
