Hello Everyone. I am new here and I am pregnant Now my main concern is weither or not this is going to be a high risk pregnancy.

A little FYI on me. When I was pregnant with my son (5 years ago) I got shifted around between 3 different doctors for different reasons. At about 6 months along, I started experiancing what "I" later discovered to be Pre-Eclampsia. None of the doctors I was seeing discovered it until 2 DAYS before I had to go in to be induced because of the problems it was causing for me and my unborn child.

Now I am pregnant again, with a different father (my son is from my ex-husband). I have a totally different doctor who knows about the problems I had before and I feel confident that she is going to pay more attention.

But, so far this pregnancy has not proved out to be an easy one, in fact it has been much more difficult. So far (I am only 12 weeks along) and I have already had to go through numerous anti-biotics (I am very prone to infections and illnesses) and a biopsy that showed that I have pre-cancerous cells . I know I am at a very high risk for Pre-E again because of my current situation and I also know that Pre-E doesn't usually show up till around the 20th week but I have been getting a lot of headaches lately. My blood pressure hasn't been too high (maybe a couple points over) but last time I went in for my doctors appointment, my bp was very low. I have also been getting sick alot, like I would just barely be getting over an illness and another one would take over. My doctor has done a u/s at every appointment (I've had 2) I have been to so far but I don't know if that is because my fiance told her he was a big baby (13 pounds) or if it is something else. I also think my baby is growning really slow, I have only gained 1 pound so far this pregnancy and at my 10 week u/s she was measuring at 3cm.

My questions are; Am I worrying for nothing? Is the weight gain and baby size normal? Should I be worrying about Pre-E already? Are those symptoms anything to worry about?

Thanks for your time ladies

Another thing I wanted to add... When I was pregnant with DS, at about 11 weeks I went to the hospital for severe cramping and spotting, they did an u/s which made the tech suspect that I may have been pregnant with twins and lost one because she saw what looked like a second sac that was dark and empty. My doctors never followed up on it so I don't know if that is what actually happened. I am RH Negative so I was given RhoGam through out my pregnancy but I don't know if that would have any affect on if it was a misscarrage or not.

I was wondering if there was any way to know for sure if that is what happened.

I have been cramping a LOT with this pregnancy but luckily there hasn't been any bleeding and so far everything is ok.

I dealing with P.E. the 2nd time around (2 out of 3 pregnancies) and it's peaked recently with my B/P and swelling.

I would try to convey as much info to your Doctor as possible, keeping them informed will help them make a proper diagnosis and treatment. Good luck!
