My dr and I thought I am 12 ½ wks pregnant I went in on wed for a u/s and its showed a 5 wk sac no fetal pole. They took a hcg level it was over 25000. They took more blood today no results yet. My first child is 10 months and I have type two diabetes I have had it for 6 years. Anybody have any comments or story’s that might help this worried mom.

Popping in, but not high risk...

Sounds like one of two things:
1. You really are 5 weeks along (but that doesn't explain the high hcg)
2. You had a missed miscarriage.

Did you Dr say anything?

I had the same thing when I first found out I was pregnant (I didn't know when I got pregnant) but there was nothing but a sack.

My OB had me come back the following week and wa-laa, there was the baby ~ turns out I was only 7 weeks when I *thought* I might be closer to 9 based upon my LMP.

Do you have an f/u appointment???

it may be that the dates are off. when i got pregnant with my dd it was when i should have had my period. so when i finally got my bfp i should have been further along then expected.

the best way to diagnose it is with a thorough u/s and blood work.

i wish you the best of luck.
