Well, I went for my OB visit on Thursday, and I didn't exactly get good news. I guess I should give a little background info first. At 16 weeks was diagnosed with single umbilical artery (SUA or 2 vessel cord). For those who are unfamiliar with this, it's is commonly associated with chromosomal defects and a wide range of other anomolies. Anyway, I've had extensive blood testing, several level 2 U/s, and a fetal echocardiogram. All have come up normal, until at my 34 week U/S. The O/B said that my baby's kidneys were enlarged (on the high end of normal). I now have to go for weekly visits, another u/s in a week, and NST on wednesday. The possibilities that something isn't right are very real to me now. I am so afraid, and the waiting is tearing me up inside. Thanks for listening.
