I hope you can make it full term. Bedrest is not fun!

I have cervix issues as well. So far this pg it is holding up. But with my first my 18 weeks it was starting to efface (just over 3), then by 22 weeks it was about 2 cm. It countinued to efface even though I was on bedrest (restricted activity from 18-22 weeks, strict bedrest 22-38 weeks). I was completely effaced by 31 weeks and her head was at +1. But I was able to carry her to term!

And with my ds I had major cervix issues. An incompetent cervix. It was shortening by 8 weeks and by 14 it was nearly completely effaced and was dilating as well! 14 weeks! I had an emergency cerclage placed (a stitch that holds the cervix closed--well to only 1 cm dilated). From there I did have it efface the rest of the way and his head was at +1 for months. But I was able to deliver him at 37 weeks!!!

Can they tell in u/s if the cord is knotted? Just because it happened before doesn't mean it will happen again I don't think. But having a short cervix is enough for many obs/midwives to have one bed on bedrest.
