Just came back from my doctor where I had a ultrasound exam and she says that my baby has IURG (intrauterine growth restriction) and there is nothing wrong with my placenta. The reason for it is my high blood pressure and previous health problems. So Iím still gonna be on strict bed rest, have to see my doctor twice a week and eat everything I want! If the baby doesn't grow much before my due I'll have to have a C section. She said that lying in bed all day just eating could help. She also said that Iím not having a boy, Iím having a girl. Since the baby is so small I guess itís a easy mistake to make. But at least I know whats wrong, so that makes me feel a little bit more safer then not knowing.
How is everyone else doing?
An angel in the book of life
Wrote down my daughters birth
and whispered as she closed the book
Much to beautiful for this earth
Just curious but did they say why a c-section? Is it because of the high blood pressures?
I have a friend who's baby had IUGR. She had PIH (pregnancy induced high blood pressure). She never developed pre-eclampsia but her baby was still small. He was 4lb even when he was born at 38 weeks. They induced her and her son, although small, had no problems at all. Just a little encouraging. Keep us updated
oh... I was also going to add. I had a 29 weeker and a 28 weeker. Shoot for 2lbs first, then 4lbs, then maybe 6
My 28 weeker was 2.5lbs and she did great considering how early she was. Also, you might want to ask the Dr. about steroid shots to mature the baby's lungs if they do think you'll have to deliver early.

my baby was having some growth problems due to my placenta so I stayed in bed and ate lot! I'm 30 weeks and gained 40 lbs but hey the baby is measuring a week ahead now and weights a lot. guess the eating helped! Always dieting after the baby is born
