Well...this pregnancy is sure different then with my son. I am high risk because of my bicornuate uterus...but there were no complications with my son at all. So my OB didn't send me to the perinatolgists this time and decided to monitor me himself. I am thinking now, maybe not the best idea??? I don't know...these things probably would have happened regardless. It's been a rough road for me this time around. The latest....I had a trip to the labor floor on thursday. After being monitored on the fetal monitor for a hour at my doctor's office (just a regular OB visit) and the being poked and pushed on during my ultrasound (to check fluid and movements)...the physians assistant didn't see enough movement from Ava...so she had me drink cold water and after about 20 min she came back (my doctor is on vacation)...poked and pushed on my belly some more and only saw minor movements from baby...none of which I felt. Her heartrate was normal...i think it was cause I hadn't eaten since 11:30 and it was now almost 3! My doctor's appointment ended up being 2 hours long! Then she decided that there was decreased fetal movement and sent me to the labor floor to be monitored longer! I had my 2 year old son with me! I had to call my hubby at work. The labor area in the hospital was VERY VERY busy and had no bed for me...so I had to wait. They finally got a place to put me...hooked me up to the monitor...my hubby arrived, finally...the nurse left and was checking other patients...meanwhile the monitor wasn't monitoring ANYTHING cause my baby had moved away from it...i tried to get it back..but..after an hour passed a resident doc comes in...adjusts the monitor, asks me a bunch of stuff...and then left...and another nurse comes in and tells me that have to move me. So basically I wasted an hour on the monitor cause they learned nothing from it. I had to start all over again once they moved me and got me hooked back up. So another hour goes by...the fill in doc for my doctor comes in and sends me home cause everything looked fine on the monitor. It was 6pm by this time. I still hadn't eaten since 11:30 am...i wasn't allowed. So I still wasn't feeling a lot of movements...but they told me to just go home and do my kick counts. So my appointment was at 1pm...after stopping for dinner, i didn't end up getting home until 8pm! It was crazy!

So I guess nothing is wrong with her...but it made me feel very un-easy! I hope I can at least go another week...to 37 weeks. My doc should be back on Monday and I hope he checks my cervix...they didn't check it on thursday. I am still on the Procardia...not having too many side effects now...and I know it's helping with the tightening I was having. But right now, my OB doesn't even know I'm on it since he wasn't there!

OY! Be glad when she is born...healthy, and perfect, I pray. I pray i have no more complications. Only 2 weeks a few days to go!
