Hi all!

We had our u/s today and the baby looks great! I started bawling as soon as the u/s tech found my womb because it was obviously full of black amniotic fluid. I have never been so relieved in my life!

Our baby performed perfectly giving the tech an excellent view of all her parts. We learned her gender (A GIRL!). We got a good shot of her bladder and kidneys which were our next big concern and they looked great too.

All the baby's measurements were so in line with what the doc expected for her gestational age that she was ready to take me off high risk status. I'm SO relieved to be considered a normal pregnancy again. If I never see my perinatlogist again it would be too soon!!

Thanks for everyone who sent me prayers and good thoughts. It worked! You ladies are awesome!!

Oh I cried through almost the whole u/s, and then most of the night afterwards! It was such a huge relief it felt like it took forever to just let go of all the fear. I feel so much better now!!

You know I am still thrilled for you. This is the best gift of all.

Do we have a name picked out?

How wonderful! Congratulations. You must be so happy.

May I ask why you were in high risk in the first place?

Hi all,

Susanita- I was labeled h/r because my first pregnancy ended in m/c at 5 months because the baby developed Potters. The only way to diagnose Potters is at the 5 month u/s, and then with an amnio, so I was on a "h/r watch" until they could check for signs. Luckily I am not a repeat case!

We have decided to name her Avalon Alexandra. We'll call her Ava for short!
