I'm seeing a maternal fetal med Physician on the 27th. In the meantime, I have done my research online. I even found a MFM (Maternal Fetal Medicine Dr) online who answers your question.
My situation is if I should take Innohep (LMWH) or stick with the baby aspirin like I did with my last pregnancy. Anyway, here is the Q&A from Dr. T. You need to scrolll down a bit, but you will see it.
Here is the posting if you are interested I posted under Susan and Dr. T responded twice:
I would follow what your Peri advises. They will be most familiar with your case, and diagnosis and have all of your labs. They will also be the one to monitor you throughout. Also, with the recent notice of the MTHFR, that in and of itself is a good cantidate for prophylactic LMWH use. I as well dont think a theraputic dose of anything is needed, until its needed if thats the case. But you can never be too safe and too proactive (especially with one loss). The LMWH has NO effect on baby and does not even cross the placenta. It is VERY safe at prophylactic levels (no big risks of bleeding, ect), and has been shown to be very effective. Towards the end of the pgcy, they will adjust your meds to allow for natural delivery as well. I would just be concerned with your history and recent discoveries- that a baby asprin wouldnt be enough of a safety net. Im a big follower of better safe than sorry practice. HTH!
