Hello Ladies, my name is Taryn. I was considered high risk w/ my last pregnancy because of high blood pressure and protien S where i had to give my self injections of blood thinners the whole pregnancy. Now, i went to my 1st OB appointment and they said the samething again. I have to go back to the high risk pregnancy doctor on next week because the want to relook at some things..
I am totally upset, because i dont want to do those injections again.
Welcome to the high risk board... Sorry you are facing some challenges again. Im in the same boat with you on the blood thinners. Ive been on them since I was 6 weeks pg, and have to see the Perinatologist. I do self injections 2 times a day until I hit the 3rd trimester, then they will increase. I KNOW how unpleasant they are, and if I had know I would need them (I was diagnosed with AT-3 Deficiency Clotting Disorder at my first OB appt) Im not sure I would have gotten pg. Not because of just the shots, more because of the risks to baby and me, and the fear of leaving my DH as a widow if things turn bad... Needless to say we are reconsidering having more children naturally, which is just heartbreaking to me- I always wanted a few little ones.
Im sorry you are going through this, but know we are here for you!
While I can understand you found them unplesant (I inject insulin and am insulin retarded type 2 diabetic) I look at the face of that beautiful little girl in your siggy and can't help think they where worth it.
Its not pleasant. But you can cry about it here and well will make you feel better.
Hi & welcome aboard! I'm also a high risk mommy to be but b/c I am carrying triplets & have an incompetent cervix w/ a cerclage. Just remember that everything you do is for that little bean inside of you growing.
