I have a Ob appt today. Hopefully we will hear the heartbeat. We got to see it on the u/s last time but not hear it since it was to early. But I am 9 weeks 2 days today. I have to find out if I can exercise because last I talked with the OB I had to take it easy cause of my blood pressure. But I miss exercising. I always was told by my primary care doc that it was helpful in lowering bp.

will update when I get home.

Good luck! I hope that you get to hear that hb!

As far as exercise, if you are cleared to do so, I recommend using a heart rate monitor. I have one and am absolutely blown away at how quickly my heart rate rises. If I just went by how I was "feeling", I would be way over the 140 mark that we pregnant ladies are supposed to stay under. Just my

Looking forward to an update...

My ob left to do a emergency c section. grrr.

The doc who we did see didnt even bother doing a doppler to check for a heartbeat. Which is upsetting. We have to wait till the 20th now. Made for a sad disappointing appt.

Was told I didnt have to worry about swine flu. Just stay away from sick people.

lol Sam

My OB's nurse called me today because I am having these twinges but not cramping in the vagina/cervix area. Usually I feel them further along in pregnancy not now at 10 weeks. So she said to come in to make sure everything is alright. I saw my OB for a brief few minutes and he sent me right over to the u/s because he said by just feeling the cervix wouldnt tell him anything. Said he would see me in his office after the u/s.

Had the u/s and got to see the little one moving around and wiggling. heard and saw the heartbeat which was 178. It was really cool. My Intended Mother couldnt make it though. but I did get a pic for her. She was very happy nothing was wrong. The tech said since everything looked alright that I could go.

Well ok, then I was told I was supposed to make a new appt for 4 weeks instead of 3. and they wanted me to reschedule my May 20th appt. I think they got this part messed up but I changed it anyways to June 1st. I am supposed to be seen every three weeks.

I also think my OB thought it was a regular appt because he didnt see me at the last appt.

But everything is Great. Baby is fine, my cervix is good. I am probably just to sensitive to my body since its the 7th pregnancy. Even the nurse who I saw agreed with me. (not my regular OB's nurse who told me to come in, it was another nurse in the practice) Its good to know its nothing.

Stacey, I'm sorry IM couldn't be there for that.....but her finding out how great that h/b is should have been some comfort to her. Sounds like a great appointment.

Sorry to hear you had twinges that were concerning, but at least you got an earlier u/s! Seven pregnancies? Wow! You are a Divine Goddess of Fertility!! Ha ha.

Ever wonder why doctors seem so stingy with the ultra sounds? My first appt isn't until the 27th - and I'm not even sure I get an u/s until several weeks after that. Why not just do one every time? I wonder!
