OK...I'm pretty sure I'm in a time warp. Everyone's PG seems to be catching up to mine !!!! We're doing well. The baby is moving like crazy and I'm huge. I've never been one of those petite PG women anyway, so it's par for the course. Speaking of par, I've tried golfing "with and udder" this summer and I can't say it's helping my game AT ALL! LOL
I'm sure some of you already know, but, our 17 year old cat, Jennifer, is in kidney failure. After days of treatment at the vet, we're just trying to keep her comfortable. The vet says that she's not in pain, and that she won't make it through the week. The boys are devastated, including my DH. And, it's pretty somber around here. It's hard to see her so sick. So, say some kitty prayers, if you can. Much appreciated.
The boys and I may head up to the lake this weekend, depending on how Jennifer does. I think they need to get away for a day or two. DH will stay here so that Jennifer is not alone. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go or a bad idea. The boys need to get away, but, I don't want to be gone when she passes. I'm already feeling guilty. Not sure what we're going to do...
So, on that happy note, I wish everyone a great weekend! I hope everyone can really start enjoying summer. Big hugs to everyone.
I'm still sending little kitty prayers for Jennifer, and i'm glad at least she's in no pain.
Whether you stay home or do manage to get away for a couple of days, i hope your weekend treats you better than your week has. HUGS
P.S. I believe our pregnancies might be approaching an event horizon (yeah, a black hole reference!) where time slows to almost a stop...i think that's what 2nd tri is essentially...and then 3rd tri will catapult us back into warp speed until we can't wait for labor...

so sorry about your furbaby, Kelty. It is hard, too, when the kiddos are old enough to witness all of that. Hang in there and I hope you are having a better weekend.
I'm so glad that the pregnancy is going well! I am feeling huge as well -totally embracing this big belly of mine, but the summer heat makes me feel very "puffy." And, you are a golfer???? I am too! I didn't play during my other two pregnancies, but I am this time. So far, my game is pretty good. I think it is b/c I swing very carefully -I have a bad left hip due to over-relaxing of ligaments, etc. In any case, I love to hear about other pregnant golfers out there! I hear you about time standing still, although I'm a bit shocked that I have just crossed over into the 3rd tri! That messes with my mind a bit. I mean, it is the 3rd trimester, but I still have 15 weeks to go (God willing).
Aw, Kelty! I'm so sorry to hear about kitty. I had a dog pass away a few years ago due to kidney failure and when the vet said he wasn't in any pain it helped a little bit. It's just so sad to see them waste away. Mega prayers and headed to you and the whole family. I also understand you feeling guilty for possibly not being there when the time comes. If you were able to get away for the weekend I hope it helped. Please remember we are all here for you.
Glad to hear you've got yourself a wiggler and that all is well. I too play golf, not very well at all mind you , and unfortunately I haven't picked up my clubs yet. I probably won't get a chance to play until late July...that's when my bff that I play golf with will be done teaching summer school and done with taking more classes.
Thanks for all of your kind thoughts.
And, I'm glad Im not the only one playing belly group golf. Wouldn't it be fun to get together? We could all don our maternity clothes and head out onto the course! Way too fun! We could be the AARPGA (I think it covers all bases, AARP for us AMA mommies, PG, and PGA... LOL)
