Our 2nd appointment was supposed to be Monday, but we were called to reschedule since doc had to do a c/s. So, yesterday it was. It was in the middle of the day, so I was pretty sure DH wouldn't be able to make it and yet, lo and behold he shows up while I'm in the waiting room

So, when we were called back I got to do the usual...weigh (I gained .6 pounds during the 1st tri

) and then pee in a cup for the lil dipstick test (which came out great). So, we asked if we could hear the h/b first so DH could go back to work and were told yes

Doc comes in with the doppler and has a very difficult time finding the h/b....as you can imagine, I was getting very nervous. She blamed it on DH because him needing to get back to work was putting her under pressure

So, she goes and get the u/s machine and while it's warming up she continues to try and find h/b with the doppler....which she finally does. But, not where she thought it should be. She was mostly checking below my belly button in the "normal" area (especially for 14 weeks) but found baby on my right side and higher than expected. Beating somewhere between 140-150bpm. Becky & Stacy....still thinking girl? Hmmmm??? Anyway, it was so cool to hear!! DH said it sounded like the wheels of a train on the tracks.

While she was at it, she did a VERY quick u/s and everything looks good. DH left and she mentioned to me that my uterus is still measuring large for my date and asked if I had any fibroids. Not that I know of, but I asked if maybe there was too much fluid and she said that looked fine. She said that if I have a fibroid then that could not only cause my uterus to be large but to also be pushing baby to the right. She didn't seem worried, but I have a feeling she'll be keeping an eye on that issue. Nothing major to deal with. Our next appointment is June 13th, but I have to go do the second round of b/w for the Integrated Screening on July 2nd (told we'd have results a couple of days after that, but due to the holiday I won't be expecting anything till around the 6th).
Here's a 14 week belly pic. It looks like I'm getting bigger, gradually. I keep getting told I look pg now

, but I thought I have for a while...maybe it's just starting to show thru clothes too. Sorry about the elastic marks....I took the pic a couple hours after I normally would.
