Girls, please tell me I'm not alone! Don't misunderstand, I am SO excited about this baby and I do enjoy being pregnant, but I am having some strange symptoms this go around. I know that I'm a little further along, but just thought I'd ask. Here is my "list" of stuff that I've been dealing with lately (and I do say all of this with a smile):
BBs that are growing at record rates
Pain in my hoo-ha and thus weakness in my left leg; I can't lift it to shave in the shower or to put my pants on!
Speaking of shaving, I was showering yesterday and lifted up my leg to shave and noticed a brand new big mole! I've never had this before -I'm getting new moles and freckles all over the place.
Oh, and I inadvertently groan with just about every bend, roll over, reach that I make. DH says I sound like a walrus or something. Gee thanks, do I need to reserve a pool at seaworld?
My belly is getting huge and I'm loving it -I'll post my 28-week pics soon!
And finally, my hair has stopped growing as it usually does -I don't have to shave or pluck eyebrows nearly as often and my skin isn't nearly as oily so I don't have to wash my face as often either.
The only really unpleasant thing has been my UTIs and "yeast" but I'm choosing not to focus on that stuff.
Pain in my hoo-ha
BBS are definitely having a growing spurt. If I didn't know better I would think I had spilled Miracle-Gro on them.
DH is actually double checking my shaving and making sure that I haven't left huge sections unshaved.
My hair and nails are growing at an alarming rate.
My eyebrows seem to have stopped growing though.
And don't get me started on the emotional rollercoaster I have been on. My shoulder was hurting today and I used an icy hot patch for like three minutes, ripped it off when I realized it had a warning label on it, then called the on call doctor in tears because I was afraid I had hurt Katie by having the patch on. I was reassured that it was okay but I think I may have scared DH a bit because he had never seen me cry such huge, wet tears before.
OMG...emotional rollercoaster is an understatemnet for me these days!
My belly is heavy...my back feels broken...my hips hurt...I'm cranky and easily irritated...man the list could go on and on...BUT I do love being pregnant...I've just reached the stage where I'm ready for her to be born...I'm always like this the last few weeks...

Thanks Kiliki for my super sweet siggy!
He who has hope has everything
I went to Motherhood Maternity yesterday and told them I am looking for a bra, they asked what size I'm wearing now and I told her 36I, her response-" I? that's after H right? We only go up to an H here or online, I didn't know they came that big...." she then went on to tell us about a woman on some talk show who had a augmentation and was what they described as a Q, everything had to be custom made.
I mean sheesh, nature did this to me, not me. Guess it's back to the specialty bra shops.
These are great, girls! Yes, the "miracle gro" bbs are fun! Sam, I'm sorry that you are going to have to go back to the specialty shops. I have had luck with onehanesplace.com as I have an odd size 32 D (at least it is hard to find that combination with the bandwidth) and found that their bras are very comfortable. I will probably find myself in a specialty store for nursing bras, though. When I was at Motherhood once, the gal tried to convince me that I was a 34 C and I got a little annoyed b/c the bras did not fit and she wouldn't believe me. I was about to parade out of the dressing room, just to show her how my bbs were spilling out of the sides and under the band!
Kelty, I hear ya about the ice cream. I have been trying to go the frozen yogurt route, but sometimes you just can't beat the "good stuff."
Lara, are you over your m/s by now or no? I'm sorry if you are still struggling with it. And, doesn't it just feel more comfortable to "waddle" or walk oddly? I felt like I was waddling a bit too early, but now there is no avoiding it.
Smi -you are getting SO close! I am like you, I get antsy near the end and sadly, you would think that I'm about 36 weeks (instead of almost 29) by the way I'm getting about wanting the baby to be here NOW. I think I get more impatient with each pregnancy.
to you all, girls! I'm glad that we can have a chuckle over it all!
BB's have slowed down over the last month, but my nipples kill me whenever something brushes against them.
Fingernails look AWESOME!! My nail tech loves them.
I think I too am waddling somewhat.
I've noticed more aches and pains and bone joints popping more...mostly my shoulders and hips.
Extremely emotional the last several days....crying a lot!
DH loves my round belly and rubs it quite often. I've actually had two people touch my belly lately....I didn't think I was that big, but maybe I am.
Beth....Miracle Gro on your bb's....you are so funny!!
Lara....I think you ARE having a girl.....the ole wive's tale says that a girl will "steal your beauty" so if you're looking like you've been ravaged by the flu it looks like you may be!
I forgot to mention the "fun" ones! I can't forget about the lovely skin tags I'm getting or how about the larger freckles....including on on my left cheek (face) that's a little larger than a pencil eraser now. Not to mention my lumpy bb's. Or, how about the heartburn that just appears and of course, there's the acid reflux that usually bypasses the heartburn stage. And, my least favorite of all is the occasional regurgatation (sp?) at night....usually around midnight.....just wonderful But.....you know what? I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!
