We made it to NC without any problems. Today, the county and state offices were closed for the holiday so we didn't get anything accomplished. Tomorrow, Mike and I have to hit the ground running. We need to get insurance (safe auto is not recognized group in NC), get tags, pay auto taxes, get licenses transferred (Mike's will be expensive since he has a class A CDL) then go see the people at DSS about getting Katie insurance under the uninsured children's insurance plan from the state. Neither of us have jobs as of yet but we are seeking employment. My nerves are frazzled. While we were on the road on Saturday, Mike's twin brother, Matt, called to tell us that his younger son (2.5 yrs) had a concussion due to falling out of his crib and that the older son (9 yrs) was going in for an apendectomy that night. Mike flies back to South Bend on Wednesday and will drive back to NC, hopefully arriving on Friday. The driveway is not cleared to the house, so I don't know if we will be able to get our stuff up there or not. Gotta love living on the top of a mountain.

I will try to keep you all posted as we get things done.
