[girl!]!!

Hi Ladies, I did get my dh to text Becky in the big group text that he did but having a look at JM today looks like she probably didn't get it so I must have stuffed up the international numbers somewhere!!

Anyway, at 9.35am on Tue 13 April, our little girl Layla Florence Cxxxx arrived - healthy and with a full head of hair!!! She weighed in at 7lbs 3oz and while that's small, she's actually the biggest of my three!

I had a c-section and was in hospital for 4 nights. Could have gone home after 3 nights but I opted to stay the extra night offered as I knew it would be the last time I would have with Layla to rest when she did and to just have that one on one time with her.

The boys think she's pretty special though we got home a couple of hours ago and Jonah (youngest ds) has been very out of sorts so we'll have some things to work on. Speaking of which, Layla is asleep so I'd better go to the boys and give them loads of hugs and lots of chats about 'them' rather than the baby!

Will post photos tomorrow... she is beautiful of course!
Layla...brand new! She got an apgar of 10 . And her middle name (Florence) is my late grandmother's name.

yay!!! welcome Layla (what a beautiful name)!!! I wish you a very speedy recovery Lenore - hope you aren't in too much pain...and I can't wait to see pictures of your sweet little girl!!!

I didn't get the text , but don't feel bad that you messed up the numbers. We tried to text pics of Mark's ultrasound to relatives in Greece and it wouldn't go thru either. Perhaps we need special software to text internationally.

Congrats on your little girl! I love her name. I hope you are feeling okay, and that recovery is going good. Can't wait to see pictures.

Enjoy every second! And good for you taking another night in the hospital to get your strength back and enjoy your daughter.

We are avid gardeners and can and freeze all our fruits and veggies. We are homeschoolers who celebrate all the children we are given.

Thanks ladies! I know...I've been slack posting pictures. They've been emailed around everywhere but I'm lazy with having to downsize them for photobucket and then copy and paste each one separately... I WILL get to it though!!
