I haven't posted much about it or been around much recently, but I wanted to let you ladies know that I've been struggling with a mystery illness for the past 8 weeks...Dr first thought it was bronchitis, then walking pneumonia, then a more severe form of pneumonia, and I've been treated for all of those...but after weeks on two antibiotics that didn't help and multiple inconclusive chest x-rays, i've been referred to a pulmonologist to test for some more unusual/rare lung infections & diseases.
Initially the pulmonologist wasn't going to be able to see me for another couple of weeks, but based on how sick I am I just found out that my Dr convinced him to come in off of vacation to see me tomorrow morning.
I'm not sure what's going to happen, although I expect they'll probably do a CT scan and some bloodwork minimally....but any T&Ps you could send my way tomorrow would be really appreciated. I'm hoping this is not a serious as some of the things my Dr thinks it could be...
*UPDATE*
Well I'm happy to say it doesn't look like it's going to be anything horrible (yay!)...it does require another 3 weeks of new meds (more/new antibiotic, steroids & a ton of asthma meds via nebulizer 4x a day), but the pulmonologist says I should start feeling better sometime next week and if I don't I have to go right back in to be reassessed, but he's pretty confident the new meds will get me back to normal quickly
Thank you everyone for all your T&Ps...it was SUCH a huge relief after he ran a bunch of tests and looked at my x-rays and said "well we can definitely rule out really serious conditions like TB & lung cancer"...after hearing that it almost didn't matter what he thought it was since it wouldn't be either of those!
