Layla has slept through the night the last two nights!!! She is 4 months old and this is the earliest I've ever had a babe STTN. I've been feeling rundown with winter colds that hang around and getting up each night so if this does become a habit for her I will be grateful .

She has also more than doubled her birth weight. (She was born 7lbs 3oz). She now weighs 16lbs 8oz with beautiful chubby legs that I can't wait to see more of in summer!

Here's a 'cheeky' photo taken about a month ago before bath time..


Layla today at 4months 1 week old (strawberry picking ). It's not the best shot as she was very tired. She wears a bib all day now as she's constantly spitting up (just small amounts).

I'm glad she's sleeping for you! That's great. I hope you get over the winter colds. It's so hard because we have summer here, and your in winter! Although, how do you strawberry pick in the winter? Just curious. We are in Wisconsin, whch is cold and gets tons of snow. It always takes me a minute to remember you are on opposite seasons

Mari I always think of winter time as being strawberry season but I guess that is just over here! It doesn't snow (where we are). The strawberry farmer was telling us he plants in March and then the season runs from June (when they're most expensive and our winter starts 1st June) to mid October (which is mid spring by then).

The 'Pick Your Own' strawberry farm isn't far from us so it's a nice outing for the kids. You just have to buy 1kg (2.2lbs) of the strawberries you pick which we easily did as we all love strawberries and was cheaper than buying them at the shops. They also have homemade strawberry jam and fresh strawberry icecream, and strawberries dipped in chocolate mmm.

yay, Layla!!! Mark will go to 6 hours, but usually wakes up closer to 5 hours at night time. I can't wait until he sleeps longer then that and I get an uninterrupted night's sleep.

I think I remember you saying before that you don't get snow there. Here in Maryland, we don't typically get alot (last winter was an exception that that trend though), but I can't imagine not getting any. Have your boys seen snow in England when you all visited?

Good memory Becky! Yes, they saw snow in Christmas 2008. Oliver was 3 so old enough to remember and so each Christmas here (when it is so hot), he is waiting for the snow to come!

I remembered when you went, but couldn't remember if it snowed or not. I LOVE that pic, and the scrapbooker in me would have so much fun scrapping it.

You would be horrified to know then that the photo isn't even in an album... we are shockers... they are filed by year and month on our computer folders but I wouldn't even know where to begin in starting with the albums...in this digital age there are just too many photos in a way!

I'm not too shocked, as I'm so guilty of this too lately. I've only scrapped here & there over the last year, and have so many pics to get caught up on. We realized over the weekend we needed to get the pics off our camera cards, as we didn't have any blank ones left to take more pics of Mark. Guess I know what we'll be doing these next few evenings . . .

Yay Layla for sleeping through the night. I am also horrible about not having Katie's pics in an album. I just snap so many of them that it is a bit overwhelming.
