New weekend plans...

I had an NST this am, here's my story

So, they weren't seeing enough accels even after I'd just eaten lunch and a piece of dh's birthday cake; Dr T the ob on call came in to talk to me, does not like my decreased insulin need, is worried about the placenta, so we have a new plan. NST#8 is tomorrow, and I'm booked for Sunday July 24th at 0930h. Yikes! There was some concern that he would be doing it today, so two days' notice is nice! Of course if I go into labor, water breaks, start contracting, or baby moves less, to come in and he'll do me immediately prior to that. So much for a nice, quiet, scheduled, elective repeat c/s! Hoping baby's lungs are fine, but he's having the neonatologist present at birth anyhow. Praying for good things since he'll be 37w6d, instead of the nice safe 39 weeks as booked. I've got a nursery to clean and fill!

Wow Marie! At 37w6d though I'm sure he'll do great. At least he's hit the 'full-term' mark and it sounds like it will be a case of 'better out than in' - will be thinking of you!

One of the girls from another mommies board I visit just had her second DS last week at 37 weeks. Her doctor opted for an earlier delivery due to health issues and the LO is doing great. His older brother was delivered really early (he was due in Nov 09 and arrived in Aug 09) so the doctors were super cautious with this pregnancy.
