I just don't understand the obsession? Mark is absolutely crazy over this silly red monster, so now I'm looking at Elmo themed stuff I can make for his bday.

Is anyone else's LOs crazy about Elmo or something else?

Katie has a slight Elmo obsession. She has chicken dance elmo, tickle me elmo, the elmo gloves that laugh when you press them, a big stuffed elmo and probably a few more that I have forgotten about.

the kids have had elmo stuff over the years, but I'm not a huge fan-his voice annoys me

He's not my fave character, but I can tolerate him. It's only been in the last month of so that Mark has gone crazy over him. It's cute to watch him point to the TV and ask you sweetly "melmo, pease".

Of course in the last few weeks, I have heard "Baa Knee" so many times, I am ready to go out of my head. I am okay with Elmo, but Barney is annoying to me after a very short time.

I thought I disliked Barney until the three middles became obsessed with Dora, we watch lots and lots of Dora on netflix right now

CJ goes through his phases-sometimes daily. We go from Elmo to Barney to Umizoomi to Yo Gabba Gabba, then get on a movie kick fro a day or two.
At least with there being a few he goes through I don't start having homicidal puppet thoughts.

i don't get it either but Savannah looooves Elmo! She's equally obsessed with Olivia...so those are the two constant demands if she sees TV, computer or iPhone (she's figured out one can access YouTube from any of them and scarily she can UNLOCK my iPhone and get out to YouTube already by herself....I need some type of parental control feature for iPhone apps desperately, you do not even want to know what pops up when you hit the "Top 25 videos" button on iPhone YouTube app but I can assure you it's not even adult-appropriate much less toddler appropriate)
