Hello Ladies - I am popping in from the 30-somethings Mommies with a question (for most of the women there are barely 30 as it is! smile). I had my first child last year at age 36. I am 37 now, and am contemplating another. It makes me sad to think of our daughter growing up as an only child, yet at the same time, I'm pooped! I am wondering if any of you have been pregnant and had a child closer to age 38 or so. If so, how did it go? Any regrets? Of course one never regrets a child, but I mean... frankly, have you held up as well as you had hoped? All my best - d.

Oh she is so sweet! I love the picture of your little one!
I don't really have any advice as far as being 38 and pregnant goes because I had my last one when I was 34. I would say if you want another one, go for it! It may be a little harder than your first one because you'll have a toddler running around but this too shall pass and you'll have the family you want. Many of our board members had babies well into their 40's and I am sure you'll hear from them. I just had to tell you how sweet your daughter is!
Good luck and let us know how you do!
Dani

Hi there! She is adorable!!
I also started having kids later in life, my oldest will be 12 this Aug and I'm 45. It's understandable that you are tired with the one, I think I was most tired with the first than with all put together LOL! I mean you are on constant call! We got preg unexpectably and I was alittle scared of havng another so close to the first but it turned out to be the best thing we ever have done!! Soon my dd1 had a playmate That meant alittle free time for me. We had our ups and downs but who doesn't? I never regret having kids later in life. We went on to have 3 more and now I am very content My kids are my life right now and I wouldn't have it any other way.

If you truely want another child don't wait! In my opnion the 2 yr gap is the best Go for it if it's in your heart! It's tough with kids period no matter how many you have. You just learn to go with the flo and you will be just fine! Hope this helps some.
