It would be tough but I live way out in the country so getting to work requires a car, especially on days like today with temps in the teens without the 20-30 mph winds, that gusted up to 50 mph. I would not enjoy being without the internet for a month but it would be easier than being without the car.
I've had to wait a month or longer to get my car fixed and it's not fun, but it's doable.
In some ways, going without the internet for a month would probably do me good, because I'm a chronic oversharer and whenever I look at the clock in the bottom of my taskbar I'm always shocked at how much time has passed. On the other hand, prices are MUCH higher in brick and mortar stores where I live and we use and need some fairly obscure and special-interest products that are not sold in brick and mortar stores at all, so it would cost me a lot of money and things that are worth a lot more than money to take that internet vacation unless I could hand a trusted friend my credit card and a shopping list.
Sorry, car; I'll get you to the shop as soon as I can save up enough money.
