Do they hurt, and do they still do them in the butt? I have to get mine in a week and a half.

I HATE getting shots! I just got my H1N1 vaccine and man, my arm is sore!

Well my first was in my butt and hurt like hell!!!!! With my second the guy was so nice and gave it to me in my arm and I swear I barley felt it!!!! I am a freak about needles and it is the one time I didn't pass out, so I reccommend the arm. My butt was sore my are didn't hurt a bit. Hope that helps I get mine on the 20th.

With my DD I got both mine in my butt , but neither of them hurt at all. I never even felt them to be honest.

This time around my midwife is drawing some blood at my next appointment to see if its neccessary to do and I will only be getting the Rogham if I have antibodies

It got it with my first four babies and it really hurt. They were in the butt/hip area. The first time was the worst and I hurt for quite awhile. When baby #5 came along I had my husband find out his blood type and sure enough he was negative too. I figured something was up since all my babies were negative. So I went through all that for nothing.

So for anyone you have to get it if you are RH negative and the babies father is RH positive.

I've had it during and after all 7 pregnancies and will get it in a couple weeks for this one (my dh is +). I think they hurt - all mine have been in the hip/butt area. But.......it doesn't hurt as bad as the weekly 17p injections I get. At least this shot is only once (well twice, another right after I deliver but I don't notice it much then).

Yeah, as soon as they said the word "shot" I was on the phone with DH, for his blood type. He's military, so he knows for a fact he is A positive.

I have had so many of them that I have lost count and for some reason they are the most painful shot I have ever had! I dread having to get them. I have had them in both my arm and hip and would much rather have them in the fatty part of my hip and if they try to give it to me in my arm I just ask for my hip. When I have had it in my arm I can't even sleep on that side for about a week.

Mine was in the lower back area right above my butt and it did hurt me but I think all injections sting badly. I'm dreading it but at least I have a few more weeks until 28....

I had to get that darn shot so many times with my daughter!

LOL when we started TTC, the first thing I asked him was his blood type!!! I was so disappointed! Hahaha.
