So last night we had a bunch of tornadoes and bad weather come through which had us up (and in the basement at one point) all night. So I was not too thrilled to wake up this morning. Then around 10am, I get a call from daycare that Noah had fallen and got a huge cut on his face. So DH rushed up there and took him to the hospital ER to get stitches. Luckily, he didn't need them, but he still gashed it pretty good. Still I freaked out a little bit. Now I'm home, Noah is sleeping and I'm quietly working on the couch. I've had enough stress for one day.

Hopefully it will be a quiet night for you tonight. Gotta love those tornado warnings in the middle of the winter.

What did Noah fall off of or onto that he got a cut? Or was he just being a boy?

He was sitting on a bean bag chair and either was trying to get off or fell off and hit some wooden chairs. He had to have done it with some force to cause it to cut like that, but I know that Noah is a wild and crazy boy, so it doesn't really surprise me either. It seems like the daycare took good care of him, but I still wish I was the one to go comfort him rather than be at work.

They glued it using something called dermabond and then put these sterile strips on it. Aparently they avoid doing stitches when they can to avoid scars. It looks better, but I think it will look even better when after this weekend we can take it all off and start really letting it heal. I want to get some good cream to put on it all the time tho. I know if you keep wounds moisterized, they heal slower and show less of a scar.

That dermabond is like superglue for the skin. They used that when Cody was little and grabbed a knife and cut his finger. It didn't stay on more than an hour, though, since it was on his finger and he was a very activwe little guy
